Fall in Love! 7 Stunning Kitchen Aprons from Designers

Lately, minimalism is trending, and people often make backsplashes out of stone, just like countertops, or use porcelain stoneware tiles, mostly in stone-like patterns. These options are beautiful and striking, but our collection includes different solutions — with a variety of tiles and more. See what designers choose for backsplashes.

Brick Backsplash

Brick (and the loft style in general) is not as popular today. But that changes when it comes to real brick! During the apartment renovation, they uncovered old masonry, including in the kitchen. This led to a brick backsplash in the space with the exposed brick wall.

Patterned Tile

For an impressive accent in the kitchen, choose patterned tiles. But make sure it’s current. Kitchen themes like coffee cups, coffee beans, fruits have been out of style for a while. A geometric pattern or designs reminiscent of Eastern motifs or Metlach tiles are trendy today and will remain so for a long time.

Wallpaper Backsplash

Wallpaper as a backsplash is another proven way to make your interior stand out and unique. In this project by designer Irina Shevchenko, wallpaper adorns part of the kitchen-living room walls, including where the cabinets are installed. The backsplash area is protected by glass — so no worries about practicality.

Paneling and Tile

In the designer’s apartment, they created an atmosphere of a country house. The walls feature paneling, lots of cozy textiles, natural and cozy textures. They placed paneling on the kitchen walls and even on the backsplash! But for practicality in the most “hazardous” areas — above the stove and sink — they laid tiles. These fragments look like panels and not only serve a practical function but also decorate the space, adding charm.

Tile with Decorative Edging

In the studio’s project, the kitchen backsplash corresponds with the floor finishing. It’s light-colored tile with decorative edging, laid out like a rug. The same applies to the backsplash — a ceramic panel. Thus, the kitchen area is not only segmented but also impressively adorned. It’s a case where finishing also acts as decor.

Bright Tile with Geometric Pattern

In this apartment, by the designer’s project, the interior is quite vivid, highlighted by a juicy yellow color that edges around all rooms below the ceiling. In the kitchen — a tri-color cabinet set, and the tile on the backsplash includes colors used in the interior: yellow, blue, burgundy, light. It creates not so much an accent but a harmonious addition to the space.

Brass

The designer planned this studio for herself. The kitchen is compact but striking. And one of the elements contributing to this effect is the brass sheet backsplash. The golden surface of the metal immediately draws attention. However, the designer noted that maintaining such a backsplash is not easy: completely removing water spots is nearly impossible, so the brass lost its original appearance quickly.
