How to Decorate Your Sofa Wall: 7 Amazing Mirror Designs

Mirror Canvas and Nothing Extra

This apartment is on the shore of the Baltic Sea and is available for rent to tourists. The interior is calm and serene, in the style of modern hygge. There is only one room here. Light tones help to expand the space, but the visual effect is also enhanced by the mirror canvas behind the sofa. It acts here as an additional “window.”

Small Decorative Mirror

This apartment belongs to architect Ekaterina Vorotnikova. It radiates the atmosphere of a cozy country house. The interior is airy, with elements of classic style and authentic decor. The wall behind the sofa in the kitchen-living room is adorned with a small decorative mirror. It probably doesn’t significantly increase the space, but it definitely adds to the atmosphere.

Classic Framed Mirror

This apartment is located in a Stalin-era building from 1940, where various cultural figures and historical personalities have lived over time, including Marshal of the Soviet Union Konstantin Rokossovsky and writer Alexander Tvardovsky.

The designer saw no other style than classic with touches of Art Deco to convey the spirit of the era. And into such styling, a mirror on the wall behind the sofa fits perfectly. It is ornate, in a gilded frame, very striking.

Mirror-“Window”

This apartment is located on the 17th floor in a new building in the city of Krasnoyarsk. Nevertheless, the interior looks as if it was designed for a countryside home. A “farmer’s cottage” style is recreated. A credible feeling was achieved through the use of materials (wood, adobe on the walls) and many decorative items. One such element is the mirror, imitating a window, above the sofa. It even has wooden shutters attached. It turned out very unusual!

Large Classic Framed Mirror

This interior is a blend of modern and classic style. In the living room, the classical style is evident in the moldings on the wall, the decorative ceiling medallion, the shape of the furniture, and in the large wall mirror with beveled edges, framed in a classic style. The mirror occupies a large area, helps to increase the space, deepen it, add grandeur, and create an astonishing effect.

Sunburst Mirror

In the kitchen-living room of this apartment, the wall above the sofa is decorated with a sunburst mirror. The actual mirror surface is small, but the frame with many “rays” provides a greater decorative effect. Such mirrors have been trendy for several seasons. And they can be easily added to an already finished interior in different styles: modern classic, retro, and Scandi.

Aged Mirrors in Molding Frames

This small studio is located in a historic revenue house that has been restored and turned into an apartment complex. The designer has created a striking interior with classic details. On the wall behind the sofa are aged mirrors, framed in “frames” made of moldings. They not only help to increase the space but also add grandeur, create the right atmosphere, and are impressive. They are also an excellent way to fill a large empty wall space (here the ceilings are high and there is a second light, as the studio is duplex).
