8 Incredible Ideas for Utilizing Leftover Wallpaper

Update the Dresser

Redoing old or disliked furniture can be a demanding task. But if you just stick leftover wallpaper on the facades, the process becomes much simpler. The result is delightful, as seen in the photo. The owner covered the dresser with bright floral print wallpaper in pink shades. Paired with gold-toned hardware and base, it looks bold yet harmonious. These two colors are complemented by decor items – a mirror, frame, artificial flower, and ornaments.

Decorate a Door

Of course, just randomly covering a door in your apartment with wallpaper is questionable. Approach this technique with caution. In this photo example, the door seems like an extension of the walls – its blocks on the inside are covered with the same wallpaper as the walls in this room. The canvases are bright, with a rich, fairy-tale pattern. To keep the door leaf and frame from standing out, they used a matching blue color.

Make a Trendy Organizer

Open shelves in a bathroom are an unconventional choice. Here, they approached its implementation creatively. The base of the wall organizer is a pegboard, in which you can attach shelves with baskets as needed. Usually, the unused holes of such a board don’t look very attractive, so it’s covered with leftover wallpaper. On one hand, it becomes almost a framed jungle-themed painting. On the other, a convenient set of shelves for storage. Thanks to the dark, varied pattern, these elements don’t stand out too much or create visual noise.

Decorate a Niche

These kinds of niches are often turned into bookshelf-style arrangements – installing open shelves on top and a chest of drawers below. Here, they did the same, choosing a rich blue shade. Its depth and brightness are highlighted by the wallpaper, which is applied to the “back wall” of the improvised cabinet. Its abstract, chaotic pattern captivates the eye and becomes a decorative element in itself. Plants and accessories are placed on the shelves, transforming it from a hard-to-play niche into a real interior highlight.

Make a Trendy Poster

Even scarce wallpaper leftovers and scraps can be used to create a new interior element. Make posters out of them, inserting them into a beautiful frame. Even monochrome wallpapers should not deter you from this idea. Several monochrome canvases can be combined to create a stylish minimalist composition, as shown in the photo. The wallpaper elements have different textures, and the texture attracts attention just as much as any active print.

Decorate the Inside of a Cabinet

You can also play around with the wall in the case of a regular closed cabinet or sideboard. The latter became the object of renovation in this example. The white body of a well-known IKEA buffet is complemented by a gentle botanical print wallpaper. It draws the eye but won’t distract attention from the dishes arranged on the shelves.

Decorate the Wall with a Geometric Composition

Arches, geometric shapes, lines – these forms have come from the Memphis style and have become popular for wall decoration. You can implement the idea using leftover wallpapers. Even the most awkward scraps will do – how and in what form to use them is up to you. In the photo, part of the wall is decorated with remnants of Swedish wallpaper, creating circles and sem

icircles. It looks interesting and also connects this passage area with the adjacent room. The same canvas is used for the accent wall in that room.

Make a New Lampshade

Tired or outdated lamps or sconces can also be easily given a second life. It’s especially convenient to redo smooth lampshades without curves. In the photo, one such is covered with a small piece of wallpaper with a charming floral print, turning it not just into a lighting fixture but a full-fledged decorative element.
