In a Vertical Organizer
It’s rare to store only one bottle and one sponge in the shower area. Usually, there are more hygiene products, especially if multiple people use the bathroom. In this case, organizing everything neatly in a vertical ladder organizer is convenient. There are different ways to attach these: some models can hang on the shower, others can be placed on the walls of the stall, and some require Velcro or suction cups.
In a Niche
One of the most popular shower storage methods is niches. They can vary in size, be one large or several small ones. They’re often equipped with several glass, wooden, or plastic shelves. Often, for convenience, they include lighting. A niche is handy because it doesn’t take up additional space, looks minimalist, and can hold everything necessary for self-care. However, you need to plan for this storage option in advance, during the remodeling phase.
In the Corner
In a limited space, it’s important to use every bit of space to its fullest. The corner of a shower stall often remains empty — and it’s perfect for utilization. You can fix several corner shelves on suction cups or place a stand with multiple tiers, sorting everything by category.
On a Hanging Shelf
Maximizing space in a small shower (as is often the case in standard bathrooms) can be achieved by using wall storage. Typically, there’s enough space inside the stall to hang one or several matching shelves for storage. This is convenient and simple, just don’t occupy the entire free wall with bottles and tubes to avoid visual clutter, and it’s easy to accidentally knock things over. Keep only what you use regularly inside the shower.
On a Seat
If you have a mini-bench or stool in your shower, you can use the seat for storage when it’s not in use. Keep a minimum of essentials needed during water procedures: a sponge, soap, shampoo. When cleaning the stall, you can simply move the compact furniture and then put it back in place — quick and convenient. Remember, open storage requires tidiness: keep only the essentials in sight, choose beautiful jars for cosmetics or remove bright labels from factory containers. Also, regularly wipe the seat to prevent dirt accumulation and unpleasant odors.
On the Shower Head or Faucet
You can hang an organizer on the faucet or shower head. This method is great because it requires no installation: no need to drill holes or even stick on silicone suction cups. Like the previous option, it offers mobile storage, which is convenient for cleaning the stall and decluttering. Organizers come in various sizes: small for just the essentials or complex multi-tiered structures with compartments for cosmetics, hygiene products, sponges, loofahs, and sometimes even towels.
In Wall Holders
Compact metal holders can be an alternative to traditional shelves. They are often made to fit standard sizes of shower gel or shampoo containers. You can also buy special beautiful bottles in one style and transfer the products into them. This storage method suits even the most minimalist interior, attracting little attention and serving a purely utilitarian purpose without visually cluttering the space.
In a Basket
A quick and budget-friendly way to organize compact storage in the shower area is hanging baskets. Choose models made of plastic or other waterproof materials suitable for a moist environment. Such a basket can hold shower gel, shampoo, and a sponge. This storage option is even suitable for the smallest shower — a single hook is enough, or you can do without one by hanging the organizer on the tap or shower head.
